FIRA-ISI'2001 ROBOT SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIP
Robotics competitions have become popular and attract people from all walks of life
throughout the world irrespective of their ages.
Robot soccer makes heavy demands in all the key areas of robot technology, mechanics,
sensors, communication, and intelligence. The
hope of course, is that by discovering how to get a robot to move with agility, see with
acuity, and think perceptively in the limited context
of a soccer game, it will be possible to use the same techniques to build robots to carry out
other more useful tasks.

Comprehending programs is one of the core software engineering activities.
Program comprehension is needed when one maintains, reuses, migrates,
reengineers,
inspects, or enhances software systems.
This workshop will gather practitioners and researchers from academia,
industry,
and government, to review the current state of the practice, to report on
program
understanding experiments, and to present issues and solutions in the
general area of
program comprehension.
The workshop program will include technical papers, tool demos, and working
sessions.
Authors are expected to present an accepted paper at the workshop in

Computational modeling has emerged as a central, but complex and
sometimes fractionated theme in research on cognition. ICCM provides
a worldwide forum for cognitive scientists who build such
computational cognitive models and test them against empirical
cognitive data. The goal of ICCM-2001 is to bring researchers from
diverse backgrounds together to compare cognitive models, to evaluate
models using human data, and to further the development,
accumulation, and integration of cognitive theory.

As the title suggests, the workshop has three main themes:

 * AGENT THEORIES: What approaches (e.g., game theory, logic) are
appropriate for agent theory? How do these approaches relate to one
   another?

 * AGENT ARCHITECTURES: What architectures are appropriate for
autonomous agents? How can such architectures be given a formal
semantics? How can different agent architectures be evaluated and
compared? What methodologies can be used to build agent-based
applications? How close are these methodologies to existing formal
specification languages or object-oriented analysis and design
   methods?

 * AGENT LANGUAGES: What programming paradigms are most suitable for
agents? How do agent-oriented languages differ from object-oriented and
logic programming languages? What are efficient implementation
   mechanisms for these languages?
