Welcome on the my home page of Georg Thimm! In these pages you will find information on the things which occupy me during the day at work and sometimes after hours.
I am faculty at the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, which hosts also the ADaM Lab - a lab I am managing.
My research is mainly concerned with process planning for mechanical parts and product life-cycle management and on a sideline with theoretical aspects of crystall tolologies. As time permits, I try to catch up with the lates Java technology - EMF and JEE.

Otherwise, I teach mostly "computerscience for engineers": C-programming for real-time systems, databases, distributed systems, and applied artificial intelligence. Most of the final year projects and MSc dissertations supervised by myself are related to mechatronics and CIM.

My work on graphs and crystallography lead to my second dissertation with the title A Graph Theoretical Approach to the Analysis, Comparison, and Enumeration of Crystal Structures.
